Your buyers have moved to a channel you can't see

You're still measuring clicks. They stopped clicking.

Traditional SEO tools track rankings and clicks. But 58.5% of searches now end without a single click to any website. Buyers get their shortlist from an AI answer — and if you're not in that answer, you're not in consideration.

  • No AI engine publishes query data. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity none of them share what users are actually asking. You've been flying blind.
  • Citation patterns differ by 615× across platforms. A brand cited constantly on ChatGPT can be completely invisible on Perplexity. One number doesn't tell you anything.
  • Buyer shortlists form before your team is involved. 61% of the B2B buying journey completes before a vendor is ever contacted, and AI is now where that shortlisting happens.

What we measure

Volume is just the start — insights are what move you

A raw count tells you a topic exists. The four dimensions below tell you whether it's worth acting on.

Platform × Monthly

Real monthly volume

Prompt counts per platform, scaled from consented panel data and displayed with explicit confidence intervals. You always know exactly how firm the number is — not a single point estimate dressed up as certainty.

4 Intent Types

Intent classification

Every prompt is classified as informational, commercial, conversational, or generative. You see not just how many people are asking — but which prompts are actually influencing purchase decisions.

Weekly Cadence

Trend velocity

Week-over-week and month-over-month trend lines show whether a topic is rising, plateauing, or fading. Move before the window closes — not after your competitors already have.

ICP-Level Filters

Audience segmentation

Filter prompt volume by age, income, industry, and role. See demand through your actual buyer profile, not the general internet population. ICP-level signals, not average-of-everyone noise.

Methodology

The math behind every estimate

No AI engine publishes query-level data. Any prompt volume number — ours included — is a model output, not a raw measurement. The difference is whether the model is transparent, calibrated, and honest about its uncertainty. Ours is.

01

Traditional search volume as a floor

We identify the semantically equivalent Google query for every prompt and pull historical volume via Google Search Console and Ahrefs. AI prompt volume is consistently at least as high as its traditional-search counterpart in B2B contexts — so this becomes our minimum, not our ceiling.

  • Semantic mapping: Google-equivalent query for every prompt
  • Historical floor: Pulled via GSC and Ahrefs
  • Floor, not ceiling: AI volume scales above traditional search
02

Intent & specificity adjustment

Highly specific prompts narrow audience and carry high conversion intent — they are adjusted downward from the multiplied floor to reflect their smaller addressable pool. Generic discovery prompts stay closer to the floor. Specificity and volume trade off; we model both.

  • Specific prompts: Adjusted down for narrower audience
  • Discovery prompts: Stay closer to the search-volume floor
  • Trade-off modeled: Both specificity and reach quantified
03

Confidence banding

Prompts with strong corroborating signals — trade press mentions, LinkedIn discussion density, competitor content volume indicating proven demand — receive narrow ranges. Signals built on strategic inference get wider ranges. We publish the uncertainty. Always.

  • Strong signals: Narrow confidence bands
  • Inference-based: Wider bands, transparently shown
  • Always published: No point estimate without its uncertainty

★★★★★

We discovered our highest-converting topic cluster was one we hadn't written a single piece of content about. We saw it in Getcito before any competitor did.

Every competitor is measuring SEO. None of them is measuring AI search volume. That gap is exactly where we found our content wedge for the next six months.

The intent classification is what sets this apart. Knowing which prompts are commercial vs informational changed how we brief our writers completely.
